I hope you don’t mind an unsolicited question.
The ISFDB lists you as having written a story called “The Swans of Queen Sphalaghd” in 1992. Is this accurate, or have they made a mistake?
The title makes it sound like a Clark Ashton Smith pastiche, but I thought you wrote those many years later, for the Eldritch Dark. 1992 seems way too early.
Thanks, if this isn’t too much of a memory test.
Ah! cygne des temps! 1992 is right, though the story may have been written years before it was first published. I think my first CAS-ean story was “The Sarcophagus of Yiolh-Ngwehh”, written before 1990 and set in the city of Yihh. I’ve posted a later and fancified version of “Swans”.
I did a web image search on some new IFS fractals that came up in experiments in von Koch theory. Your fractal substitutions experiments are closest to these: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/293648838212587038/: you won’t get anywhere in the world pretending to be off the edge of the world, LOL. Your work reminds me of Steward Robert Hinsley’s tilings: brilliant work.

Q. How many Aldapuerta fans does it take to change a lightbulb?
A. 1/3 + 1/6 + 1/10 + 1/15 + 1/21 + …
The strange numbers and fractals mean whatever you want them to mean.
Good Reads has a bibliography, but most of what’s on there is no good. I would recommend Clark Ashton Smith or Rory Hughes’ Theseus 34:

Thanks. You seem to be a sane adult, but I hope you understand that one has to be careful dot dot dot
The individual in question is clearly neither sane nor adult. Assuming they’re real and not a fake.
No need to alter or cut anything from the essay. It’s all legitimate comment and speculation.
